Construction project management software for South Africa
The CIDB endorses four standard forms of contract — FIDIC, NEC, JBCC and GCC — and public clients are required to use them. BuildCore ships presets for FIDIC and NEC4, and lets you configure every clock for JBCC and GCC contracts.
Forms of contract
What BuildCore supports, form by form
The difference between a preset and a configurable regime is only the starting values — once set, every form gets the same daily deadline sweep, letters and audit trail.
| Form of contract | In BuildCore | What the preset covers |
|---|---|---|
| FIDIC 1999 / 2017 | Preset | 28-day notice; detailed claim; Engineer's response, agreement and determination clocks |
| NEC4 ECC | Preset | Compensation-event notice within 8 weeks (Cl. 61.3); Project Manager's reply; quotation within 3 weeks (Cl. 62.3); deemed acceptance |
| JBCC | Configurable | No preset — set each notice, claim and response clock on the project's custom regime |
| GCC 2015 | Configurable | No preset — set each clock on the project's custom regime |
Presets fill in each clock's default. Every clock can be edited to match the particular conditions of your contract. BuildCore tracks deadlines and keeps the record — it does not give legal advice or decide entitlement.
On every project
The same connected record, whichever form you use
- A hindrance and compensation-event register with deadlines tracked daily for both parties
- Contractual letters drafted from templates, then reviewed, approved, issued and acknowledged
- Client or Project Manager responses through a secure, one-time-code link
- Contracts, variations and claims recorded in the contract currency
- Document control with transmittals, and a correspondence register with time-bar tracking
Deployment
Run it where your organisation requires
State-owned entities and large contractors often set rules for where project records live. BuildCore runs as:
- Axontrix-hosted cloud
- Your own private cloud
- On-premise, behind your firewall — project data stays on your network
Modules
Most used on South African projects
Every module is licensed on its own.
